Handyman Project Checklist
Use this before requesting an estimate so you can explain the project clearly and compare proposals more fairly.
Before You Call
- List each repair separately.
- Take wide and close-up photos.
- Measure the area when practical.
- Note model numbers for fixtures or hardware.
- Identify must-do vs. optional items.
- Decide whether you want to buy materials.
- Ask whether cleanup/disposal is included.
- Ask how unexpected damage is handled.
- Verify permits or licensing when applicable.
- Keep the agreed scope in writing.
